Salary: €110,000 – €135,000 + Add-ons (DOE)

The Role

This is a senior commercial leadership position, overseeing the cost and contractual management of major projects in the Dublin region. The successful candidate will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, drive commercial performance, and ensure the financial success of key projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple large-scale projects.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate QS staff.

  • Oversee cost planning, tendering, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations.

  • Manage variations, claims, and change control processes.

  • Ensure all financial reporting, forecasting, and cost management are completed accurately and on time.

  • Mitigate commercial risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Collaborate closely with project management, design, and procurement teams to optimise cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

  • 10+ years’ experience within a Tier-1 or leading main contractor.

  • Proven track record managing large, complex projects across sectors.

  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contracts and cost management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • MRICS or SCSI chartered status is advantageous.
