The Role
This is a senior commercial leadership position, overseeing the cost and contractual management of major projects in the Dublin region. The successful candidate will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, drive commercial performance, and ensure the financial success of key projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple large-scale projects.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate QS staff.
Oversee cost planning, tendering, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations.
Manage variations, claims, and change control processes.
Ensure all financial reporting, forecasting, and cost management are completed accurately and on time.
Mitigate commercial risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Collaborate closely with project management, design, and procurement teams to optimise cost efficiency.
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
10+ years’ experience within a Tier-1 or leading main contractor.
Proven track record managing large, complex projects across sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contracts and cost management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
MRICS or SCSI chartered status is advantageous.
