The Roles

Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking both a Project Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. These roles will suit ambitious QS professionals who want to work directly for a developer rather than a consultancy or contractor, and who enjoy being part of projects from the earliest planning stages through to final delivery.

Project QS Responsibilities:

• Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and procurement.

• Prepare and manage tender documentation.

• Monitor project costs and variations throughout construction.

• Support senior staff with reporting and contract administration.

Senior QS Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial management of multiple projects.

• Oversee tendering, procurement strategy, and contract negotiations.

• Manage cost control, forecasting, and value engineering.

• Mentor junior QS team members.

• Report directly to the Commercial Director on project progress.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor.

• 3+ years’ experience for the Project QS role, 7+ years for the Senior QS.

• Previous experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage contracts.

• Confident communicator who can work effectively within project teams.
