We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major residential development in Dublin 7.
This is a hands-on site-based role where you will be responsible for setting out RC structures, gridlines and associated works using a Leica Robotic Total Station.
What we're looking for
This role is suited to an experienced Setting Out Engineer who can work independently and confidently without constant supervision.
You must be proficient in:
Setting up and operating a Leica Robotic Total Station.
Using the remote robotic system to carry out setting out.
Taking AutoCAD drawings, transferring/saving them onto the tablet and working directly from them.
Setting up the total station correctly and independently.
Setting out reinforced concrete (RC) structures and gridlines accurately.
Referencing back to known control stations and establishing/maintaining site control.
Checking your own work and ensuring accurate setting out before construction proceeds.
Working independently and managing your own setting-out requirements on site.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Please note: Candidates must be genuinely competent with a robotic total station and able to set up, reference and set out proficiently on their own.
This is not a role for someone who requires a handheld instrument or regular assistance to complete setting out.
