The Opportunity
A leading Irish main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a major apartment development in South Dublin.
This is a large-scale residential project and represents an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking to take responsibility for a significant project with a well-established contractor and a strong pipeline of future work.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day management and successful delivery of the development, working closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team.
The Role
Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities.
Manage subcontractors, trades and site personnel to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
Coordinate construction activities in line with the agreed programme.
Oversee works from groundworks and structural stages through to completion and handover.
Monitor progress, productivity, quality and programme performance.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
Work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, consultants and subcontractors.
Review drawings and technical information and resolve issues efficiently on site.
Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship throughout the development.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
Manage site logistics, resources, materials and sequencing.
Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
Drive the project towards key programme milestones and successful completion.
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
5+ years' experience in a Site Management position.
Strong experience within residential construction, particularly apartments or large-scale developments.
Experience working for a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site operations.
Experience managing subcontractors and large site teams.
Good understanding of QA/QC and Health & Safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Relevant construction qualification or trade background.
Full driving licence.
